Hugh has designed the lighting for more than 150 productions and worked extensively on Broadway for major national companies. He has been nominated for six Olivier Awards, winning three for Pacific Overtures (2004, Donmar Warehouse); The Graduate (Gielgud); The Cherry Orchard (National Theatre); The Unexpected Man (2000, RSC) and The Blue Room (1998, Donmar Warehouse).
