ANNIE BYRON
A graduate of UNSW and NIDA, Annie has worked in theatre, film, television and radio for over 30 years, and been a member of Equity all that time. Her work has taken her all over Australia.
Annie has recently returned from a world tour of The Age I’m In with Kate Champion’s company Force Majeure.
Recent productions at Belvoir St have been Yibiyung and Parramatta Girls, both directed by Wesley Enoch. In 2004 she performed with ERTH in The Nargun And The Stars at both the Sydney and Perth Festivals. Work for the Sydney Theatre Company includes The Cripple of Inishmann (director: Maeolissa Stafford), and Hedda Gabler (director: Robyn Nevin), including the sell out tour to New York.
Annie’s first TV appearance was as Lou Sullivan, Uncle Harry’s wife in The Sullivans.
She won an AFI award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Fran, and received another nomination for Doin’ Time For Patsy Cline.
