Maureen’s 40 year theatrical journey spans the original cast of Hair to Billy Elliot the musical, Todd McKenney’s Golden Girls, Flo Monero in Saturday Night Fever, Miss Lynch in the Australian tent tour of Grease The Musical, Fraulein Schneider in Sam Mendes’ Cabaret, Madame Thenardier in Les Miserable, Mrs Dilber in Scrooge The Musical, and Mrs Danvers in the Australian premiere of Rebecca the Musical.
Television appearances: Neighbours, Blue Heelers, State Coroner, My Brother Jack, Halifax, Crash Zone II and Kangaroo Palace. Over 40 films include, The Craic, The Alive Tribe and King Kong. As producer, director and choreographer: The Last Session, The Transposed Heads, Crazy for Gershwin, Tragic at Their Age and James Joyce’s Ulysses. Plays include David Williamson’s Brilliant Lies, Freedom of The City, Sex Drugs and Walking Frames, King Lear, Ionesco’s The Lesson, Fabulous Follies, White Cliffs, A Diva at Her Age, and Women of Character.
