THE PRATT PRIZE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE

The registration guidelines are:

• 1. The national competition for The Pratt Prize for Musical Theatre will be open to composers and writers wanting to be commissioned to create a new musical or musical theatre work.
• 2. Any Australian citizen or resident of Australia may submit their own names or those of other Australian composers and writers for consideration.
• 3. Submissions need to be made on a Pratt Prize Registration Form. You can download the PDF HERE or email us HERE to request a copy by post.
• 4. A synopsis of the proposed work as well as a CV of the composer and or writer must accompany an entry. A vocal score, script / book or libretto may accompany an entry. Recordings and orchestral / band scores would also be welcome.
• 5. Entries close July 31, 2008, and the result will be announced in December 2008.
• 6. The Pratt Foundation reserves the right not to award The Pratt Prize for Musical Theatre in 2008, if in the judges’ opinion, there is no entry of sufficient merit.
