Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs

KING TUT TODAY

No museum exhibition in history has captured our hearts and minds like King Tut. From 1976 to 1979 a smaller number of treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb were displayed in the United States during a seven-city tour of Treasures of Tutankhamun, attracting eight million visitors and setting show attendance records - making it the most popular museum exhibition of all time. The allure of the King Tut exhibition mystified audiences and influenced everything from fashion, to food, to film - creating 'Tut-Mania' everywhere it travelled.

Over seven million people have already attended the new King Tut exhibition, Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, witnessing the most impressive collection of Tutankhamun artefacts ever assembled outside of Egypt. 20/20 has called it 'a dazzling display'; the New York Times has heralded it as 'powerful...poignant' and it is has been declared 'the summer's hottest Ticket' by Good Morning America. The current King Tut exhibition is poised to become the most successful exhibition in history.
