SCENIC DESIGNER
David received a 2007 Drama Desk nomination for his work on Legally Blonde the Musical. He also designed the sets for Hairspray (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle nominations); The Rocky Horror Show (Drama Desk Nomination); All Shook Up (Drama Desk Nomination); Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and, for film, Team America. He is the founder of Rockwell Group, the New York-based architecture and design firm.
Projects include the Kodak Theatre; W Union Square; Nobu; Phantom at the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas and the Jet Blue terminal at JFK International Airport.
David is included in the Interior Design magazine's Hall of Fame. Spectacle, a book by David Rockwell with Bruce Mau, is published by Phaidon.
