After relocating to Los Angeles almost 20 years ago, Cameron Daddo has made his way onto the big screen with roles in films Anthrax, Big Momma's House 2, The Incredible Mrs Ritchie and David Lynch's Inland Empire. The Logie Award winner has successfully had the lead roles US series Models Inc, Hope Island and FX - the series. He has recurred and guest starred in a long list of high profile American television programs which include Monk, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Boston Legal, 24, The Mentalist, Without A Trace and NCIS. Not content to just act, Daddo has directed for television, produced several feature and short films and composed music for Passengers his latest movie which he also produced and starred in.
In 2012, Cameron will again be seen on Australian television screens when he portrays Beaconsfield Mine Manager Matthew Gill in Beaconsfield, the story of the 2006 mine collapse. He will also appear in the hit series Packed to the Rafters as newspaper editor Adam Goodman.
Legally Blonde marks Cameron's return to the Australian musical stage after a 20 year absence. He made his mark in Gordon Frost's Big River, winning several major awards for his critically acclaimed portrayal of Huckleberry Finn. Cameron followed that success with the role of Scarecrow in the Victorian Opera's The Wizard of Oz. Cameron has kept his musical side very much alive, just releasing his new album of self penned tunes, Ten Songs... and change, to rave reviews in the US country/Americana market.
