Congratulations Esther Hannaford for winning the Helpmann Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical in the role of Penny. The Helpmann Awards were held to a capacity crowd at the Sydney Opera House on Monday night where Esther accepted her award.

We celebrated our 300th performance in Sydney last weekend with the company enjoying a cake designed by bakery artists, Sweet Art Cakes. Since October last year HAIRSPRAY has had audiences up on their feet night after night both in Melbourne and in Sydney. As Lucy Meyer from The Sydney Morning Herald says "That's 300 curtain calls, renditions of Good Morning Baltimore, and rounds of thundering applause".
